— "Ce qui reste // All that's left" was inspired by my own story when I was a teenager and the relationship I had with my mother and with my sister. And I try to describe and show the imperceptible love transmission through fears and anxieties.
I asked myself and the spectators: "Can we save someone ?" and furthermore: "Can we save someone who doesn't to be saved ?"
I also try not to make a fully dark drama. Even if it's tough the major part of the movie, it goes towards a positive direction. There is hope for both of the characters.
I am an optimistic. Whatever happens.

— In the script, there is a big sequence in a car where the character, Henri, drives his mom. I casted so many actors for the role of Henri maybe 30 or 40 persons. And the only one I chose was the only one who did not have the driving license ! So it was a big discussion with the prod and we had to use a travelling car with a truck and there is only one in Brussels ! But we managed it at the end :)

Go to a film school, you will meet people as crazy as you ! And you will get a network which is important.
And never give up !
